Ferrari Perle Nero 2010
The first and only Blanc de Noirs of the Company. This vintage wine is the result of forty years’ experience of a variety as complex and delicate as Pinot Noir.
THE VINTAGE
The 2010 vintage was characterized by slightly above-average rainfall, but with a regular climate from the point of view of temperatures. The summer began with some welcome rains, and then continued with a hot, dry July. Abundant rain fell in August, but there was then a period of stable, breezy weather in the first half of September, allowing the grapes to be harvested for the base wines before it began to rain once again. The fruit attained full ripeness, with excellent acidity and complex aromas.
TASTING NOTES
On the eye: Bright golden highlights, embellished by perlage of rare finesse.
On the nose: Spectacular complexity on the nose, full of tropical sensations and scents that range from fruity to mineral and even toast-like, with intriguing notes of peanut butter.
The palate: Sumptuous in taste, framed by razor-sharp tanginess and a citrus-like freshness. The flavor is full and rounded. Persistent and exquisitely almondy, with a beguiling and majestic finish.
